This Dorman OE FIX shift tower is specially designed to help prevent this issue, making sure the shifter stays in gear and the sloppy-feeling shifter is tightened up, leading to predictably firm, positive shifts. Our redesign features more robust construction than the factory unit by utilizing bearing steel rather than low carbon stamped steel. It also reduces wear through specially hardened and coated tool steel in the detents. When using this shift tower, shift throws on the gear selector are also reduced approximately 10 percent.
